No shit? I’m thinking of wrapping my mazda around a tree.
Karma could still bite him in the ass when state farm drops his policy, or raises it through the roof for his new car. There’s no way he’s in state farm mutual, being so young, so he must already pay alot.
It sucks getting a new expensive car and then finding out you can’t insure it, or have to pay $5k/year for insurance. But then I’m sure daddy or mommy could insure it for him, if they don’t already.

As Muckman already stated, they told him they would not be raising his rates. It seems as though he is on his father’s policy, or at least that their agent is a friend of the family. I really didn’t think that would have any pull in a situation like this, but I suppose it may. He pays a fair amount for insurance, but he doesn’t seem to care, especially since he will be LEASING the BMW, so apparently throwing money away is no issue to him. I’ve been trying to urge him to buy something more affordable to him so he can get out of his parent’s house before he’s 30, but its proving as hard to convince him of that as it was for him to take a high performance driving school (as you can see he did not).
