You may have trouble finding a S/C and all of the connections at a junkyard. It can’t hurt to look, but don’t hold your breath. That is probably one of the first things that is stripped off the car. It’s more likely you will find something in the classifieds (a lot of ex grand-am owners on here) or on craigslist.
Good luck.
yeah, i realize i’m shooting for pluto… but anything along those lines. thanks for the tip, i’ve already been hunting.
shit, i just sold a charger for $40 and a pizza. was tired of looking at it.
call junkyards and ask them for the core chargers. often times you can rebuild them for cheap. nose cone bearings are really cheap.
oh, and talk to pewter on here. he may have some s/c cars.
if not, try star auto wreckers in west newton. they specialize in saturn, should have a couple chargers floating around.
I’m also looking around for a 2.3L Cams (GM part #24574239[intake]) (GM part #24570698[exhaust]) for my 2.4 people are saying that change in lift is making a noticable difference. most likely going to swap out some of the gaskets for the sake of it.
i have a GM 3800 Series 1 M62 SC
I wouldn’t worry about doing all that on a trial car. Save your money for something better.
You can sometimes find the LD9 blowers on j-body.org
I wish i could use that, but i only got a 2.4L engine.
thanks man, i’ll check it out.
And you CAN use an M62, but it really isn’t necessary on that motor.
