same here i had the how the fuck look on my face tho lol
wat.
and the white van tire marks are mad funny.
+1. nice observation haha
That white van was totally whipping from side to side
It’s all relative…I’d be willing to bet that people living in the mountains, where storms generating several feet of snow are no big deal, have similar sentiments towards us and how we handle it. We aren’t as high and mighty as we may believe.
On the topic of Atlanta - 5 Series driver starts his car on fire in the snow… caught by a live news crew:
^ How the hell?
Listen to the reporter saying it’s a “classic example of a RWD car and what can happen” :ham:
He was “burning his tires” around a corner trying to get traction.
retarded lol
LOL at the idiot at 8:20, driving a compltely snow covered car…how I hate those people
Thank you.
“OMG I feel a bit better about myself because these other people are SOOOO STUPID. I am better at doing ______ than someone who’s never done it before. My life has MEANING”
Also, regardless of driver skill, look at the tracks on the black SUV below. The roads are so slippery that the car is sliding on the grade of the road instead of moving forward… it has to be slippery as fuck.
Mike93 and newman, thank you. This storm produced A LOT of icy precipitation. I had to go to the dr’s office this morning. My car had 1/8" of ice on the windshield, and I was sliding EVERYWHERE on the roads. Could hardly get any traction.
So Newman, I noticed the modified signature pic. Does that mean you’re just into dudes now?
Anyway, that stretch of interstate looks quite slippery. Combine that with the aforementioned lack of winter tires and salt…
That was the joke… hence why it says “…ah shit”
lulz
EXPECIALLY in texas. it rains once in texas and you can count the cars down the highway that are crashed off the road. in the rain.
True but in some defense of this, i find texas roads to be much more slippy in the rain than roads in PA. Its something with the road surface. My first day driving on texas roads in the rain i could instantly tell something isnt right…it does have a slick oil or ice type feel to it. I went around a mild bend like I normally do in PA and the ass end started to break loose. I was like wtf??
And my bolt on TA would break the tires loose at full throttle at 70-75mph on damp roads…I was like come on now thats NEVER happened in PA and this car is NOT that powerful. Its different for sure.
Maybe it’s because the roads up here in the North East are scrapped and shitty from plows, salt, etc. and the roads down there are nice and smooth. They might keep their new surfaces longer.
In texas, since it rarely rains, all the motor oils that leak out of cars leach back up to the surface and make the roads slippery as fuck…
Isn’t asphalt a naturally oily material? That’s why they say when it rains, it’s the first bit of rain that is the most slick, because the oil comes out of the surface and makes it slippery before washing off the road.
And it’s exacerbated by the fact that it has a lot of time to build up.
