If Howard said those words to me in person, I’m sure he’d be coming off as an asshole at the same time. It just goes along with what everyone outside of his circle says that their experiences have been like with him.
Its all what ya really make it to be. The old saying “if you believe it to be true, it will be true in its consequences” kinda comes into play here. With an already negative stigma in place, an action that would otherwise be harmless, becomes much more. I just think that shit with Howard has gotten blown out of proportion by people that could barely pick him out of a crowd full of people.

He gave me attitude the first (and only time) that I met him and before that in emails. Anyone that has met me IRL on here know’s that I’m very friendly and drama free, but I don’t take getting talked down to very well.
i’ve talked to howard before (once at envy LOL) was a cool dude and remembered me even since i don’t have a vette LOL

While I don’t know the whole ordeal that started all this crap with Redline/Howard(I’ve read as much on here amongst threads as I can stomach) this is a typical thing of any shop, my own included. One person posts something online and bam, shit hits the fan. Doesn’t make that shop owner a “bad person” or means their work is shit(or vice versa). It’s just and unfortunate part of being in business, especially THIS business. Context and emotion are difficult to convey across the internet, and far too often it’s taken the opposite direction originally intended and results in a shit storm on forums.
On my own account, I’ve called Redline in the past a few times trying to setup some time and tuning with Howard and never received any callbacks. Shitty, yeah but no hard feelings were made. I just started calling other places/people to have the tuning completed.
I hear that guy boxersix is a dick, call him for advice or a little help and he tell you about how he has an awesome porche and skyline in his garage and doesnt need your shitty work…

Ive met him b4 as well. Was very willing to talk to my buddy about anything he aked him and answer all the question that anybody had for him. Like Boxersix said one statement in the wrong hands can cause a bunch of drama with nothing to back it up IMO. Now the way he reponded to the email isnt the most becoming of a nice guy but maybe he ALSO got some wrong info about the Travis that was talking shit.
