looking for a Remote Starter for my 2009 Hoda CRV this week installed.

I have a few quotes from Darylls for $369.00 for a Compustar 5200-wg4 3000 ft. range with keyless entry ad the key chip bypasss. I thought the quote was a little high so i called Underground and they quoted me $299.00 for the same thing, also called stereo advantage and they also quoted me at $299 for a 1w900fms. does this seem about right?

Who does good work on here and can get it done this week. I am looking for 3000 ft. range and it has to be keyless entry and have the bypass, no hiding the valet key bullshit. Let me know. Looking to get this done Thursday if possible.

yep sounds about right. you’re looking into a higher end unit with a decent range and bypasses that don’t require the key cost quite a bit more, so you will end up paying more for that

btw, I know a couple guys that do installs for Underground and they do really good work. if you’d like I can set something up with them for you. let me know.

I called them today and they said I could pretty much bring it down and it should take about an hour, only thing is he said bring all three keys. I forgot if he said that it came with the bypass or if he was planning on hiding the key which i don not want. I will have to call again and find out.

Im just curious why Darryls is ~$70 more then every where else?

I don’t know for sure, but shops usually charge based on labor time… so Daryll’s might have a different way to install them than the other shops that takes a bit longer possibly? That’s the only thing I can really think of… unless if you’re supplying the unit, they may be charging for outside equipment fees?

i know a guy that works at Daryll’s he does side work and gets the units at a cheaper price.

PM BDR5oh or call rainbow 877-3878

+1

I lost faith in Stereo Advantage after they did the home theater install at my neighbors and it looked and sounded like shit.

wonder if he could do it today? I will call and see.

might want to check into the OEM honda remote start
