Good Clear coat with black mixed in it.
I had my tails tinted on my Evo last season. Used night shades and rattle can clear. It looked pretty good but fades little by little. Anyway, I got knocked for speeding by a local dot officer and got fined for the tails.
My car reeked like e85 but he never asked me any questions about the car. Thank God he didn’t ask me to pop the hood.
I’ve heard that the nightshades fades over time, and ends up looking worse. The tinted clear is what I’ve seen to work the best, better finish (gloss) and longer lasting…
But I nightshaded the third brake light in my old Del Sol and thought it turned out great, and didn’t think it appeared to fade (in the 1,000 miles it saw sunlight vs couple years in a garage)
Dumb idea. Don’t complain when someone rear ends you.
there is a transparent paint for model car bodies you can get it at any hobby shop its called WINDOW TINT. A few light coats of that and 2 coats of medium wet clear and u have tinted tails that look like glass!!! U may have to buff some dust out of them but other than that is has by far the best result of any tail light tint on the market!!!
