Looking into inner tie rod tools

What do you guys think of the kind that use crow’s feet? How do they hold up, especially with a pneumatic impact gun? I used the OEM brand type that Autozone rents and it worked well and seemed very stout, but it only has 3 sizes.

This is what I am looking at.

They work well so long as you use the correct size. I have that and it comes in handy.

i use a snap on one. it has 6 adapters. i love it

I have mixed emotions with them, they do work though. Some people love them, and I’m indifferent.

Do you use anything else?

How much did that run?

Input appreciated, thanks.

A large open end wrench when the tie rod tool won’t work

Yeah, I’m more concerned with the times I can’t get an open ended wrench on it.

Just use the tool you listed, they work great.

If this is a DIY you can rent inner tie rod tools from advanced and autozone. Owning the tool is definitely nice though.

I have a Genius inner tie rod tool it came with 7 adaptors i believe its only like 45 dollars but it says right on the extension “not for impact use” so idk if thats an option
