I have a newer Panasonic viera plasma and a newer LG 7300 series LED and the plasma is hands down a far superior TV. The LED may look brighter, but the plasma is better in every other aspect. If I were to purchase another tv, no question I’d get the plasma.
Here, I’ll make this easy for you.
Buy this: LG 60" for $600
Then read this to calibrate it right

LOL. Didn’t read yours first. I just got one of these.
+1
I would consider the Pioneer Pro elite I have in my living room, one of the best TV’s available.
They where the best plasma’s they exited the market quite a while ago and sold all there TV tech to Panasonic, who put at lot of Pioneer stuff into there plasmas.
+1 for Panasonic viera plasma. Love mine. 42" and it was $625ish??? a few years ago
Good info. here.
So, set up that LG I posted about above last night. Haven’t tweaked any settings at all yet, and the picture is outstanding. Honestly, I’m shocked, given the price. If they’re not completely sold out, this is a must buy, as long as you don’t care about 3D, or smart features (apple TV, Roku, etc takes care of this)
