Your first time you will fall a bunch, especially when trying to transfer to toe side. It’ll happen, just get up and get as many runs in.
Being an instructor for 2 years or so the one thing I noticed was people give up too easy. If you just hammer at it your first session the next couple you will get it down easy.
I started snowboarding again when I was a senior in HS. I fell a shit load of times, but kept going…then I broke my thumg in 3 places slap boxing and couldnt do it anymore because if I had fallen on my hand I would have had to have the bones fused together…and I like the ability to use my thumb lol.
my advice would be buy boots that FIT well and are comfortable… very important.
If they bind your feet in any place you will fatigue very fast and be miserable.
Take 1 lesson and then go ride on your own for a while. You will learn at your own pace.

Exactly!!
I’ve actually conned my GF into trying boarding this year for the first time; So I’m actually going to take the lesson with her (seeing I never took one when I started, see if I can get any pointers).

The thumb is overrated. I had a casted arm the year before last and still hit the park up I figured, at least it’s already casted … very dumb haha
