to be honest with ya, since i am a domestic fan (obviously) it doesnt really matter if it runs faster around the Nürburgring faster than the skyline, it does well on the Nürburgring compared to many other cars, i bet its one of the faster on the drapstrip. HAHAHA thats the mullet in my talking, but its def oan all around car IMHO
My sisters boyfriend has one of those one called for. It’ll sit nice next to his Ferrari F430 prep 2 chassis… Nice car, not really my style but I’d drop that LS9 into ANYTHING and make it fun :nod
doesn’t mean it isn’t good
I reckon we’ve been using that there, whatchemacallit… wheel, for a while now
seems to work allright :nod
Honda didn’t want to release the new NSX until it was faster than the GTR on Nürburgring…so i think that is why we are still waiting…
probably. Honda needs to just throw a turbo on it :nod
And ruin a perfectly awesome NA track car…no way! What honda needs to do is stick a big liter, 9K rpm, ITB na motor back there and that car would be fantastic. The NSX has always been the one and only Honda I’d ever buy and it’s because of the breed of the car as it is… a well balanced MERWD naturally aspirated track car.
I’ll look them up tomm.
I believe that the Z06 had a standing start for one, and the 7:38 time is based of an in car video in which the car was time that Nissan went along with. Just because Nissan backs it up, does not mean it’s legit. On the internet all the rumors are going around that the only official time it hit was 7:44 IIRC. Of course Nissan would be quick to jump on the ball for a quicker time no matter how thin the proof is.
70hp and a little less weigh should not give you 10+ seconds around the track. Millions of engineering dollars and years of research and improvement do that.
I just have a hard time believing some of those numbers.
Yes it would give them 10+ seconds around the track. You gotta think Vlad, it’s not a little 2minute track where even the smallest mistakes can’t be made up. You think the 7:38 was a perfect lap? I think not.
13.96mi in 7.7min. Amazing.
…that’s twitchy as all hell. MERWD done wrrrrrrrong.
Bad suspension geometry doesn’t count! That can be fixed easy ;D

are they still using leafsprings and cavalier steering wheels?
The transverse leaf spring arrangement on the current Corvette was first implemented on the C4. It is a composite monoleaf that is lighter (and more expensive) than a comparable coil-over. It also acts as a kind of anti-roll bar, due to the transverse mounting.
It’s really a rather ingenious, evolutionary setup. It’s nothing like the prehistoric longitudinal leaf springs used in pickup trucks, as Jeremy Clarkson would have the public believe. Of course, he also claimed that the C6 had a 5.7 liter LS1 while he was standing next to the open hood of a C6, with the 6.0 LS2 markings clear on the engine behind him. He also claimed that the C6 has a live axle, when in fact it has a transaxle - shifting more of the weight to the rear and making for a much more even weight distribution.
The ZR1 will be using Delphi’s new second-generation magnetorheolocial suspension setup. The first generation stuff, now available from Ferrari and Audi, among others, began life as RPO F55 on the 50th anniversary C5 Corvette. The 'Vette was the first production car that I know of that had Delphi’s magnaride suspension, and Chevrolet opted not to use the first generation stuff on the Z06 because they felt it was too “soft” for track duty. Delphi believes the 2nd generation has corrected this, and Chevrolet seems to agree if they’re going to be using it on the ZR1.
id love Ohlins, personally, thatd be good. Their suspension makes my knees all gooey and makes me happy in my pants
ok…the new one is Front Engine V10, about 550HP, 10K redline, VTEC, and some crazy futuristic body…should be interesting…and hella expensive…o yeah and it will be the ACURA NSX everywhere in the world…the first acura to grace the streets of japan
AMEN
