Loss or Lost

Is it:

I’m so sorry for your loss.

or

I’m so sorry for your lost.

?

On another forum, I often see people saying lost, and it annoys the crap out of me because I would say loss. Am I the idiot here? Wouldn’t the second be directed toward the dead, while the first for the person who lost someone? Most of my real life conversation is with an 11 month old so my grammar sucks these days.

LOSS … lost doesnt even make sense

:mamoru: Oh the irony…

lol

Lost would imply the person, Im sorry for your *dead person

Or is is lossed?

thought so.

losted.

Oh boy. Its Im sorry for your “Loss”

I’m sorry for your lost. May God heal your painful and may your days ahead have bright.

See the difference between nouns and adjectives?

it hurts my brain.

these dropout moms on this other forum are telling me I’m wrong about loss.

sigh.

:picard: I would strongly suggest the logout button there. This place is difficult enough and most of us are in or have completed college. :ohnoes:

The majority of the people who are the ones procreating right now are the reason this generation can’t have nice things. Maybe if you pwn them enough, they’ll try to de-retard themselves a bit.

Errrr I didn’t mean it’s a forum for dropouts. It’s a forum for moms, most of which (I assume by the massive amounts of stupidity) dropped out in favor of being baby making machines.

Oh they dropped out of the human race. I guess a DNF is better than coming in last?

Fucking idiot.

I really hope you are at least hot.

Well in my opinion…

Lost would imply MULTIPLE losses…think of it as the plural of loss.

If my mom died, it’d be “I’m sorry for your loss”

if both my parents died, it’d be “sorry for your lost”

but I am on crack right now…so take that with a grain of salt.

wouldnt losses imply multiple losses?

I’m so sorry, for you’re lost.

Today i seen someone say I’m so sorry, for you’re lost.
