I have it too. I need to find my damn cable though. Not sure where I put it after I moved.
The car is 95% ready for the road, but still doesn’t have an inspection sticker. I have not yet hooked up the CEL from the GM PCM to the BMW cluster. Can anyone hook me up with a 10 day sticker in the meantime?
The dlc connector has to communicate for a 10 day.
What was the resolution on the cat overheating?
It has not come back. I think it was a function of me unplugging that side’s coils multiple times trying to figure out the idle/stumble; it was probably made worse by the fact that the cat had no moving air around it, as I revved it sitting in a hot stuffy garage. It has not come back, so fingers crossed. I highly doubt it’s clogged.[COLOR=“Silver”]

Well, it’s been a busy rollercoaster of a week.
Went out and did some rolling shots of my winter beater with friends.
Then, on the way to Pennsylvania (2 hour drive one way) for work at 5am, this happened:
I was able to limp it home for an hour driving like this:
The car has already been deemed a total loss, but 100% of the damage is cosmetic, and the car runs great. I will be buying it back and fixing it. Not sure if I’ll sell it for a nicer beater yet.
But, on the bright side, this happened:
Got to check this out last night, glad to see it finally coming together. See you Saturday Norb!
Awesome!
Wtf did u hit
The fur didn’t give it away?
Big foot
Sorry about the accident and congrats on the build!
Ill shoot you a text over the weekend to see whats up
That pic did not load for me. I am in a steel dead zone
Wow man, congrats on finishing it. I don’t mean this to be a dick but I’ll admit when this thread started based on some of your questions I was pretty sure this project would get abandoned. to sticking with it and completing your build. Not a lot of people out there that can say they’ve swapped an LS motor into a BMW.
What kind of power do you think it’s making?
its awesome when you see crazy engine swaps started and finished. so many get abandoned half way threw. whens the FS thread?
I always had faith, an LS swap has been this kids dream for many years now.
Badass
glad its working now man, let us know how the tuning goes! and i’m always down to do some logs if you ever feel the need
She looks good on the dyno

goes like stink now after John D worked his magic on the bitch
370/374
6650 fuel cut and made power right up to that. The last digit on the BMW tach is a 7, lol.
certainly learned a lot during the build but there was never any doubt i would finish it. hardest part was juggling finances, fighting elements/weather/work conditions, gathering information on all the little details (especially for wiring) and keeping motivation going.
Awesome to see it done! Awesome power too! What exhaust is on here I think I missed it?
