LS Swapped Land Rover LR3

He’s wrong about it being the first but I still like it. It’s like a TBSS that you can actually off-road

Yesterday I posted in this thread with a picture of my LS swapped Land Rover. Some of you wanted more info about it so I decided to make a whole post. Feel free to ask questions!

Like the title says, this is the world’s first LSx Swap done to a Land Rover LR3 (or any newer Land Rover/Range Rover for that matter).

Background Information: The car belonged to my mother and was her daily driver. At about 190k miles the air suspension went bad and the motor blew a head gasket. She started getting price quotes for an OEM replacement motor/suspension. For shits and giggles I reached out to a shop in my area that specialized in LSx swaps (Rakich Performance) to even see if an LS Swap could even be done. He said it could be done and at that point I was sold so I bought the car from my mom and sent it to his shop so he could get started. Never having been done before, everything had to be fabricated custom.

Conservatively it makes ~380HP on Motor and ~450HP with Nitrous. It’s the ultimate sleeper that seats 7! It even gets better gas mileage than a stock LR3! I might sell it if the price is right.

gotta love people who pay to get swaps done.

link to thread?

I looked, there is no build thread because he paid something like $20k to have it done.

Land Rovers are for pretentious pussies.

The shop might be great at getting cars done but man that engine bay looks terrible.

I thought the same thing. Some people haven’t heard of wire loom…

Sorry, I meant the source thread or whatever so I could send it to a friend who has a rover.

I want an LR3 mixed with a cobbed together swap that looks like dick. Sounds like a great idea

Nothing like going 0-30 mph in less than 15 minutes since you’re stuck in traffic taking your daughter to dance…

I rocked one of these in high school lol… honestly thats all it was missing was a little balls. I loved it personally.

I don’t understand ditching the air suspension. The 5" of adjustment is why I got my Range Rover . . . . otherwise might as well have just picked up a Tahoe?

As for the swap . . . . again . . . . why not just get a Tahoe?

Haters gonna hate.

I seldom hate on the work anyone does on here. But I hold true that quality wise I expect better from a shop. I think the car itself is probably a fkin riot.

Ha, my wife might get one…

I dig it. At least it will be reliable. I also dig the :tspry:

Thread save!

ahh just what I wanna do to my Disco 2…but the off road goodies come first!

awesome that they retained 4WD
