ls1 guys come in

Thinking about buying this-
opinions? I should mention it will also leave me with about 4k to play with on upgrades ie painting the hood white, dyno tune at New Era, Yank stall and other odds and ends

seems like a good deal. your right about the fine tuning… needs a good detail inside and out and some serious mechanical TLC

yeah I guess this thing put down like 430rwhp behind a M6 on a regular dyno

my detail work is top notch so I should be able to have it looking mint in no time

I will have to up the stall to between 4k-4400 and maybe invest in a 12 bolt

Like I said I will have 4k to play with

The stall is to small

If you fix those things buy it.

the stall will go to a Yank SS4000 most likely

Toss a 12bolt in it…

That 231/237 was a shitty cam…Just throw something else in you will gain a lot more mid range and top end…

the cam is actually a Lingenfelter also so its a HC package
Down the road I may go bigger like MS4 or T-Rex

no and sorry i didn’t mean it to be insulting but it did make me sound like an ass. the difference in color between the plastic and vinyl would be a concern and with the mods done I would go through it pretty thoroughly because you don’t know how well the car was maintained or how it was driven… may have been driven hard and put away wet

for $7500 I think I will have a hard time passing it up

I will ditch the rims as well and switch over to some 17" chrome Ws6s

Looks worth it. Definitely a good starting point, and with your budget you could change things around a little to how you want it and have a really nice setup.
