I stopped by the track yesterday while I was in Erie. I was in love at first sight. Drag Cars, Drag Motorcycles, Street Cars, and even a Drag SnowMobile were zipping down the 1/4 mile track. Slight up hill burn out box and an uphill shutdown lane. You get your 1/8th mile and 1/4 mile ET/MPH and thats it. Lucky the proprietor is a good dude. He is excited that we are going to do an event here. He runs the track with just enough supervision and thats about it. This will be just like street racing without the hassle!

The folks from NYspeed are down for an event. Any suggestions on dates? I earmarked June 11th for the time being.

Is it just an optical illusion or does the track actually drop off after the stripe before going uphill?

I can just feel myself going airborne after the lights…lol

Yeah it definitely drops off, it doesn’t look as bad in person. It will definitely be interesting.

Hey guys, I’m Josh from NYSpeed. Whitey and I went to this track yesterday and yeah, this place amazing. Not because it’s a super top-notch facility but because it’s just “raw” - pavement + lights + speed. :slight_smile:

Sounds like an awesome idea. I just watched one of the nyspeed meet vids and they have a pretty diverse group of cars like we do. Should be a great time.
