im as suprised as you are. He had 2 ppl inthe car and prolly some college shit but still i was really suprised that malibu had a good distance on him and his muffler was loud as hell so i know he had it floored and was pulling slowly. I could care less if i got beat in that thing

yea when the car first came out that was the big thing to do.now they realized that u can just swap in the supra internals into the is300 motor since they are basically the same,only one came with a turbo stock and the other didnt.i’ve seen those 2kz-ge motors put down 550whp on stock internals b4 they swap in the supra internals

the v6 kompressor that hauls it’s like 340hp which is in the CLk
they have a v8 kompressor that hauls ace which is in the SL, hot car and fast, essentially that amg 55 that wooped up on the viper…yeah same engine…

that pos merc is slower than dogballs. its a supercharged 1.8L and it only makes 180hp… :greddy:

anyway you can mod the superchargerd 1.8 and make it pretty quick…but its MAD PRICY!!

here is what i know about the car…but correct me if i am wrong …

2JZ-GE engine, same as in the Supra N/A from 93-97 (I believe); the turbo was a GTE. That’s why the car is so pleasant to boost; the inline six was made for it; many guys go with the GTE internals and block and then they can push 500+ RWHP if they want to spend enough money. I would guess most of the turbo conversions run 300-400 RWP on average? Transmissions are either a e-shift automatic or a 5-speed stick. Most of the high HP guys go with the Supra 6-speed Getrag tranny.
