The IS-430 is just a prototype built by Rod Millin (featured in SCC October). Doubt you will ever see that in the Lexus line up. In 2006-2008 though you should see the typical sedan, plus a coupe version, and vert IS-300. Powerplant has not yet been decided by Lexus. AWD will be a option on all 3 models, along with mostly all other Lexus models. No prototypes have been released to the public yet.

It’s just the American way, we need something to show our status, and put us above the others. I’m proud to say I own a Toyota, because truthfully that is all it is, but I paid the extra to have that desired “L” badge.

the Toyota uses the Beams 3S-GE and is either 210hp or 220hp
it’s a 2.0 NA L4
the Lexus counter-part wasn’t able to use this due to our tight restrictions and so it gets a JZ-GE
most likely the 2JZ-GE w/ vvt-i(i don’t look too much outside the celica)
more power, but more weight, still supposed to be faster than the japanese counterpart.
of course you prob know the JZ series is a 3.0 L6
GE standing for NA of course, with no T’s

ummm i’m pretty sure most people know what an s2000 can do… i wouldn’t trade my 9,000 rpm redline for anything along with honda reliability

It’s cool… I’m just not into buying old f-bodies just cuz they have a v-8… I run my mid 14’s in style, well low 13’s after this winter when the supercharger goes on
