yeah because from what i remember, driving a sub 12 second car is a walk in the park…
their are skills in both road racing and drag racing no doubt…and their all different but how did this turn into a drag racing/road racing debate between us?? This hasto do with tripp calling me out about shit, and looking like a fool for what he called me out on?
for example…one run, a few weeks ago when I ran, I launched fine, and hit 2nd gear…went to shift to 3rd and missed so i completly let off the gas and coasted…I ran a 14.8 @ 52mph… Thats faster then Tripps fastest run last night…yet, he called my V6 a piece of shit when I home built it, and it would have done circles around his at the drags…yah, a road coarse is different but even if my V6 didnt handle as well as his RX-8 did, I bet I could still put a faster lap time due to me just being in a 13 second car, and him being in a 15 second car…get it?
just cause a car is fast doesn’t mean it isn’t a piece of shit.

i was watching top gear and a GT500 shelby cobra or w/e runs what…12’s in the 1/4 mi and a 2008 r32 runs mid to low 14’s in the quater…
around road coarse the R32 was over 2 seconds faster then 12 sec cobra.
take it for what its worth…
His arguement with that was that the “platform I built it off” was a piece of shit…
I wouldnt say that considering the car was boosted for 2 years on a bone stock motor at 15+psi, and Had nothing go wrong with the motor besides I bad coil pack…15psi, on a T72 is pushing some major air…and for a bone stock motor down to the gaskets and head studs, I see it as pretty impressive if you ask me.

GT500 will do high 11’s, and yea i can believe the slower car is quicker around the track, mustang is near 4000lbs with a HEAVY front end and traction limited to say the least. R32 is pretty light, AWD and pretty damn nimble. Id still rock the 500 though lol
the R32 is nose heavy as well, but yes AWD, but still like 3600lb… vw/audi are road going sherman tanks these days. they used to be light, death traps.
NO WAY that car is 3600!! Damn i would have thought 3200 at most. Very surprising
oh yes, they are piggish. heavy iron engine, the diffs, heavy brakes, 30 airbags, stereo, heavy DSG transmission, leather power everything… it adds up. but they sound great.
no doubt but the r32’s are heavy but they out handle the gt500 and are faster around a road course… i just used the gt500 as an example soo…
