supply and demand is a surprise to you?
Sick cars tho. 100k is pretty pricey
rather have a ZR-1 or a decent Ferrari for that money
but unless you own a dealership chances are that you can’t for $100K
Yes, with an MBA in Finance the concept is completely foreign.
Without the facts of how many will be produced its hard to determine if there is a supply constraint, but there are plenty of substitutes.
R8 and Porsche are just 2 that come to mind quickly.
you’re overthinking… this markup is probably targeted at people with an income north of 5 mil. who want one now and don’t consider a 30K markup much of anything.
chances are the same dealer will sell them at MSRP in a month, or even let you order on at MSRP today.
and I didn’t say foreign, I said a surprise.
nobody with a 5 mil income is going to be buying a 3 series bmw, m-powered or not.
^They spend it all on Monster Cable
meh, there are enough floating around with a $5k mark up, that car is not worth $100k though.
ps: monster cables suck
I’m sure Jay Leno has one.
One example of this car selling for $100k hardly makes it worth comparing to other cars that actually sell for $100k. If you are that antsy to get one and are willing (dumb enough to pay), then you are the type of person that $30k isn’t going to make a difference to.
I agree I just saw it and figured I would post.
I think the guys from the V2 forum are worried the V2 will be priced too closely to the M3.
Same thing with the Mustang GT500’s going for ~$90k at some places. Not quite the same markup % but still rediculous that someone would pay $90k for a Mustang.
eh, I think the main reason for that is the nostalgic factor though (and having Carrol Shelby’s name on it). Not to mention, those will probably be worth some decent $$$ in 30 years
