That being said, this price compairison thing that is always brought up is not always true. At the time of buying my iMac, I speced out an as close to identical custom built PC an the PC surprisingly was more. This included a 2560X1440 monitor, bluetooth keyboard and mouse set and a legit copy of windows 7 home. The price was ~$200 more.
I understand that there is a price difference on some products as well as Apple’s options for memory, SSD upgrades (FORGET ABOUT THEM!!!) but they are getting closer and closer to similar pricing. The laptops are still a bit more, but you’d be silly to deny the the fit and finish of a MacBook/MacBook Air is not FAR superiour to most Dell\Toshiba\HP out there with the exception to HP Envy, which is on the same price level as Apple.
