<The main reason I am asking this is that i want to futher understand the turbo system>
1.) If i keep the Throttle Plate at the same posistion so i will get X amount of air then it goes in to the chamber mix with gas then it will create exhaust gas in turn spinning up the turbo. My question is if I keep the throttle plate at the same position and i down shift and still holding the same throttle plate position do I get more exhaust gas? The rpm rise but do i get more exhaust gas? The reason I ask is that let say my turbo have max boost at 5k rpm, so if i am in 4th at 3k and if i downshift BUT holding at the same throttle plate posistion do i get max boost cuz the rpm rises if i donwshift. But then i was thining if the throttle plate is at the same throttle position it should takes in same amount of air no matter what gear i m in which mean same exhaust gas so if i downshif i will not get more boost until I step more on the pedal… Please explain to me.
