Mafs location?

I was just wonder if anyone knows of an complications that would arise if I was to mount my mafs in the cold pipe between the intercooler and the throttle body. I want to do this so that i can run an external bov without remapping. Sr20Det, frontmount ic and hks ssqv bov. I want to build a flange and mount the sensor directly onto the cold pipe.
Any input will be appreciated.

Thanks

if done wrong, 90% it will be motor goes boom, you cry and i laugh.

3 options, forget blow thru, and vent to atmosphere anyways. option 2, dont be a ricer and just recirc the bov. Option 1, go map if you want to be a ricer.

cheers

ps, search fresh alloy and the other forums for info on blow thru

IIRC japanese tuners still running MAFS tend to mount them just before the throttle body.

The reason for this is so that if your intercooler piping pops off, your car will still be able to calculate the amount of air flow.
