Main Page updates

Hey all,

I need some feedback from ya.

On the mainpage, we have a few columns. Home, forums, events, members, join, links, and gallery.

Currently, the home and forums are great. What I need to work on and improve are the events section, members, joining, links, and the gallery.

For the Events, what should I do? Include pics? smaller font, different setup? I was thinking to compress to slightly smaller writting, and to one side, and then offer some links to the forum and photos that also link to the forum about the event.

Members: Basically a list of the currently paid Official members. Smaller list to the one side, and then a link and what not to the other to the joining sections and how to do that?

I like the “join” section, as it’s straight forward, and not too many retards get confused. Maybe add some links within it.

LInks: Post up some links to other webpages that are helpful to the Nissan group? Or, abolish this sections all together, due to the sponsors and other car clubs that may draw too much attention?

And the gallery. We need some sort of program that can upload the members pics. Sorta like what NWN has. Anyone? Help! lol

Thoughts? Comments? Constructive Criticisms?

The events section seems kind of odd, as there is a really good and active events section in the forum. Maybe just link the “Events” tab to the section on the forum rather than having what is there now.

I think you should “abolish this section all together.” For the reason you’ve stated and more then likely if someone needs a helpful Nissan site, they’ll post it in our forum section and someone here will steer them in the right direction.

K, I changed the home page a little bit What do you all think?

Just need to figure out how to delete the tabs and just link them to the forum.

I agree to abolish the section altogether!! Or here is another option that may be useful in the future. Have a banner exchange, such as our paid sponsors if they have a website, put their banner up on our links page and they have a banner to our site on their links page. I use to do this with my company. This way you generate more traffic to our site.

Overall I like the set up of the Main page!! :lol: One small lil suggestion, put navigation links at the bottom. If ya don’t know what I mean, it looks like this:

      HOME |   FORUM  |  GALLERY
           ABOUT US  |   LINKS

Makes a site a lil easier to navigate.

I agree with all you guys are saying. I think that the events section on the main page is pointless. Also it would be nice to have the link for the necc logo on the forum section go to the home page and not just back to the forum page. Ohh, and the link that you have for the 780tuners.com goes to the events section/necc photo shoot…just to let you know I really like the font!!

One little thing that I don’t think we can change…I meet a guy the other night with a 300 and he saw the stickers and was like what is neck? I was like what are you talking about…but because the main logo is in small letters and not capitals people don’t say NECC. LOL I never thought of that, not realy a big deal

I don’y really see the resemblance from the “c” to a “k” I guess if you just had a brief glance it may look like a k but hardly. lol

The bar at the bottom of the page is done.

As for a link to the main page from the forum, I’ll have to get someone else to do that, that knows about this program (forum).

I’ll get on the rest asap.

I mean like how you say c like hoo(k) not Capital C like ©ircle… People may think it’s 1 word. I was talking about…NM, It’s to hard to say on here. Just that if the logo was all capials NECC, it would look like it is said. I really dont care, I just thought it was funny

Looks much better now Aaron, we seem to have quite a few events on the left, maybe we should have the past 3 events, and the rest in the events section. Also, it might be a good idea for the events section to have a link to each event, and all pictures and maybe a write-up on the event could be placed in there (each event with it’s own page).
