Making CF parts

Hey guys,
Im on some s2000 fourms and people are making some parts for the car out of carbon fiber. Parts looks great but the price is crazy high.
I played with fiberglass back in the day but wasnt to good with it. Tried to teach myself but didnt go to well.
Id like to get into making CF parts and was wondering if anyone here has, done this? could point me in the right direction of doing this? know a list of what materials i need and where to get them? the process which needs to take place? website or books that really helped them out? etc.
I have watch some vdeos on youtube but none really went into deail.

Any help would be great, thanks

lets be honest… if u couldnt handle fiberglass… your not going to be able to do CF…

but if you really want to… i hosted some articles in the technical section…

I thought maybe it was just different material.
Like I said, i really didnt do any research, I tried to teach myself though trial and error. With the right instruction I know i can do it…im no dummy:smash2:

i think the reason why i had a hard time with fiberglassing is because i kept seeing people using felt instead of the FG mat. the end result was thicker then i wanted

anyone can learn fiberglass. I find it very easy to work with now but that came with practice, just as anything else would.

just good some stuff and see what you come up. Learn from other peoples techniques that you see online.

there are also fiberglass forums where the guys can make just about anything out of f/g.

Google is certainly your friend on this one. since no one here is being that helpful right now.

fiber glassing is easy and if you cant do that then yea i would not touch CF there is a lot more involved
