Man I Miss My...

i miss my 84 jetta gli. i have so many good memories w/ that car. fun to drive. was nothing nice about it–just had personality.

I also miss my old 85 jetta I drove around for a winter beater. That poor car took alot of abuse especially after I put the GTI motor in it.

i knew you were a closet European guy.

I miss my '72 RS Camaro the most. Just a basic 350/TH350, but I still think the split-bumper early 2nd gens are amazing looking cars. It was the first car I bought with my own money, my first V8, my first cool car, etc. It really was a rusty heap (I think I found the most rusted car that existed in CA) but I loved it. Had to sell it when I started college, sold it to a cousin who always wanted it from the day I bought it. He took it to Seattle and back many times, you just can’t stop a SBC. Unfortunately it ended up rotting the rest of the way out up in Seattle and I think he donated it or something. :frowning: :frowning:

I miss my '99 Z/28 a lot too, I had that one 5.5 years and made a lot of good memories in it. It’s the car I really learned to drive stick in (had driven about 1hr in a manual before I bought it, lol), learned to AutoX and road course in, etc.

I also really miss my '86 4Runner. Something about those 1st gen 'runners they just grow on you.

its was the only beater car i had that wouldnt die. It even made a couple jumps over the tracks out by ur aint house and i had it up at the ash dumps out by dave logans house. The only reason why i got rid of it was because of the brake lines started to leak. I was to damn lazy to fix them.

How could i forget my 83 GTi? I bought it new in 1983, a month before my first son was born. He drove that GTi his first year of college. I sold it after 19 years, and wish i hadn’t.

I miss my '74 Dart, just a little 318, but that little thing took all the punishment i could throw at it, ended up selling it after i found out the torsion bars were ready to come through the frame, but that car had nostalgia,
