What if’s and and what nots cannot be assessed in this type of situation as you never know how you will react in these scenarios until you’re actually in one. So to go ahead and argue about what someone carrying would or would not do, or whether they could have stepped up and been a hero is completely subjective as you are not them. Personally I’d like to think that if I was in that theater with my family and was in fact legally carrying, that I would have done all I could to by as much time for my family to escape unharmed and shot that piece of shit in the face given the chance, teargas or not stranger things have happened. Everyone reacts differently in these situations.

thats why my arguement isnt pointless, infact its the only thing that can be certain fact here.

Being unprepaired to do anything but run from fear is the only sure way to gurarentee helplessness if god forbid your faced with that senerio.

Arm yourself, even if you dont use it… its one step above being helpless in that senerio.
