30.06 isn’t bad as long as it has a decent butt to it. My brother and I inherited our guns through my father and grandfather, we have a .22, single shot 12 gauge, ruger 30.06, and in the picture is a springfield with a metal butt… thing will kill your shoulder after a day of shooting
