I thought it was okay.
I miss the customization of ME1 a LOT.
As far as load outs and character skills go mainly.
Lack of weapon variety…
But the thing that got me the most, was how fucking short the game was.
Did it seem like that to anyone else?
Gather your squad, make them loyal, then game over.
I saw the gathering the squad/loyalty part as like… grinding basically.
You have to do it, and it’s not very enjoyable. lol.
Maybe they should’ve put the time spent already working on ME3 and put it in to making ME2 a little better…
but that’s just me.
I don’t have any downloaded content, so i suppose that may make a big difference.
maybe someone with that can offer insight?
They need to make it so friends can play as the other characters over XBL. That would make it fun and give a lot more replayabilty.
I just started it today- and you guys are right- there was a lot of simplification of the game. I think they were more concerned with making it independent of ME1 than continuing that game. The DL content is kinda cool- the mercenary you get is a lot of fun. Tells some funny stories and shit.
waaat?
If you didn’t play ME1 you’d be so lost in some parts of the game.
mainly conversations, not gameplay.
it even talks about ME3 in the loading screens, ugh.
i still say too short, and way the fuck too simple.
Exactly, theres only little easter egg remnants of ME1 for the original players. You could pick this game up and understand the story fine without ever seeing ME1.
