Me and my Spec V

this was taken 2 SCC ago…also from the 780 tuners site.

I’ve seen alot of you guys on the road and I think one 240 owner lives like 7 houses down from me…I think it was a color blue with white rims with NECC sticker on the side passenger window.

or might be a 180 color white with white rims?..can’t remember.

anyways, I got a bike and been pretty much riding this past summer and using my car just to get to work, now i’m thinking of actually doing something to it, but dunno yet. I want to put on the stillen lip kit, CAI(procrastinating),cat back and i’ve read tons of info about force induction(turbo) on this particular car. I dunno if any of you went to that car show at SHAW and they had that (turbo)Spec V on display there, some guy from montreal.

anyways,sorry for the long post,but good to be here and soon we’ll meet up again for meets in the summer.

Rebuilding the engine (well another one) to drop in next summer. Should be in the 340whp next year.

Anyways, I havn’t really met many other SPEC guys here yet. Seen a few driving around. Where the heck do ya hide yourselves? :slight_smile:

Yeah as soon as spring hits I’ll be making a trip up that way. Never been before. Will have to set it up so it’s on a day when you guys have a meet. Oh well… a few months to plan that yet. :slight_smile:

You’re also on the V Board site hey?..I was reading some guy ran a 12.9 on 9psi…says he’s the fastest. so far, what is your time?

with your turbo set up, what did you internally change in your engine?
dunno if I asked you but, how much was your turbo?

You mean the NECC Meetings? Our are on Sundays actually. Wednesday were our old meeting times.

where do you guys meet up now on sundays?

Kelseys in Oliver Square 7pm, but make sure to check the events section prior in case for some reason it gets changed.

Yeah Im SilverStreak on the Vboard.
The SPEC that ran 12.9 was Shane. 03blackspecv <–not exactly sure of his name.

He pretty well has the same set-up as I do. He’s running a different turbo but that’s about it.

And I run 7.5-8psi. I dynoed at 260whp 240 lbs ft TQ

I just sold that set-up though and now I’m going with the GT30R turbo, CAMS, new Pistons/Rods and I’ll be runnign 12psi daily and 15psi at the Track. My new set-up will be capable of running over 400whp, but until I upgrade fuel management it’ll be staying around the 350hp range. Any more than that will run outside the SAFCIIs capabilty to manage it.

I’ve never tracked mine, but hope to this srping when it’s all done. I’ve only had the set-up since AUG of last year. As for price, it’s hard to say. I work with Powertech Imports and are sponsored by them and in return I promote the car at shows and set up appointments with potential Turbo buyers. PTI can offer alot of performance mods to you even if you just go the N/A route as well. They have a N/A Spec that runs 14 flat. Drop me a PM if you’re interested in seeing my set-up or if you have any questions whatsoever on any performance mods you might be interested in. I can help you out.

With a GT30R, you should be able to run a lot more than 15psi. More like 25psi. no?

Awww crap!..I just sent you a Pm about the turbo you were going to sell. So what am I looking at if going NA route?.. what do you suggest and what price?

Yeah maybe… but its the fuel managment that becomes an issue after that. I can go standalone but I’m trying to keep this thing daily-drivable as well. :slight_smile:

At least once I get this turbo it won’t be the turbo that limits my potential. :slight_smile:
