Meds for bronchitis?

This year, like many years past, I got bronchitis. To get to the point, I don’t want to waste my time going to a doctor and paying a co-pay for them to tell me what I already know. I received anti-biotics and robitussin with codeine, and it cleared right up last year.

The cough medicine isn’t a big deal, but the anti-biotics are what I’m curious about. I know that they are controlled substances, but is there anyway to avoid to bullshit process or do I have to go see and doctor and do the whole song and dance?

If not, I’ll make an appointment and deal with it. But might as well save time if possible.

Order them online lol

Is that shit contagious??? If so…you will be evicted.

Can’t get antibiotics without a prescription, with good reason too. Overuse of antibiotics breeds antibiotic resistant bacteria. Or is it people that become immune to them? I don’t remember. Either way, if the general public takes them too much then they stop working.

So no there’s no legal way to get an antibiotic without seeing a doctor.

You might (but probably not) be able to call the doctors office and be a real dick and say “listen bitches, this is the same shit I get every year and you prescribe the same shit every time. Can you just save us both the time and write me a script without an exam?” It’s legal, but most offices won’t go for it.

Sell the robitussin with codeine to a ghetto dude who wants to make purple drank to cover the cost of the doctor visit…Or just see if you have any amoxil laying around your house from previous illnesses

Try the internet

If you want over the counter Chloraseptic would be the best bet.

Antibiotics are not controlled substances. They are however not available without prescription.

Agreed.

Can’t you just get a script over the phone?

Depends on your relationship with your primary.

it requires a script. i just finished my last ones yeasterday.

These do not require scripts.

Just sayin.

^True. I had a cold that was kicking my ass last year. 3 shots of Jack cured me in a hour…If I remember correctly.

I haven’t even met my new primary yet, so over the phone is almost certainly a no-go.

Fuck it. I’ll probably just make an appointment. It’s just a busy time with work trips coming up.

Pay the co-pay and get it over with mang. Nothing worse than feeling shitty during a biz trip.

One of those after-hours clinics wouldnt be a bad gig if you dont wanna deal with appointments. I went to the one in the dent tower when I had strep, no appointment, in the evening, was out an hour later with the scripts I needed.

^ Not a bad idea.

I went there once. It really was in and out. Very nice. You might want to run that one by your insurance though. Any healthcare after 5pm tends to be ass expensive, but I don’t remember paying a premium at the urgent care center.

Urgent care with my insurance is a $15 co pay and no questions…

without insurance its like 250, and the worse medical care you can get.
my father had a serious sinus infection, they gave him some 5 pills in a pop pack and said this will cure it.
It didnt, it didnt even touch it, bill came in the mail, 250.

hacks.
