megasquirt guys

MS 3.0 board. If you want to PM an e-mail I can send you a copy of the original invoice from DIY autotune. Also have LC1 kit I don’t need either.

Paging AMD!

Jon why exactly are you looking to go MS? What are you currently using for EMS on slow? I’m just wondering if there is an easier solution out there then a new harness and ECM.

How bout something like TunerCat or some other OBDI software? Could still maintain control over the trans too

I believe his issue is related to the fact that he wants to go to a 4L80 and w.e. he has now isn’t capable of controlling it.

Gotcha…well there is Megashift (4l80 stuff here: http://www.msgpio.com/manuals/mshift/4L80.html), so maybe that combined with your box might be a good option for him. I believe he might wanna ditch his optispark for COP as well.

Going 4l80 won’t require any drivers or comp controll seeing as it will be manual valvebody . My thing is I wanna got to a coil pack ign and better tuning as tuning on lt,s sucks and the opti sucks .

cool, one less thing to worry about. well if you dont get toomany’s setup there is this: http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/package-deals-gmlt1-lt4-l99-c-53_54.html
its set up to still use the opti but i bet you could work around that to use COP

PS im glad you posted cuz i was just about to go to the garage haha

Isn’t there a kit that deletes the opti and goes to LS2 coils. I know there is one out there for gen1 motors, thought the same guys make an LT1 kit.

That’s the 24x kit

If you just wanna dick around with ignition there are other options too, like these two here:
http://www.delteq.com/default.htm
http://www.bailey-eng.com/LTCC.html

But what fun is that!

Both of those are weak , I’m so confused lol

lol ok then, if youre dead set on going standalone, megasquirt is the way to go unless you wanna spend the dough ($1k-2k) for one of the bigger systems. there are enough people around here that use it so youll have plenty of help building it, if you need to, and tune it. save a few bucks and buy toomany’s deal or a kit from MS and have someone build it, or spend some more and order a prebuilt one. even with a prebuilt youll still be way under a grand.

Buy the kit already started says me. Pay AMD to finish soldering the box if it is necessary. He has built a couple dozen by now anyway.

I concur :tbu
