honestly im not taking sides in the car vs car ordeal, was it a shady deal? maybe. but knowing the tranny “slips” isnt helping the case. i wouldnt have even considered a straight trade for a car in need of transmission repair. so thats codeblues bad for taking that.
should joe give the car back? no i dont think so at all. reason being, a cat isnt a big deal. a CEL, not a big deal. the tranny again, was a known discrepancy which he should have rejected in the first place. cruise control, no big deal
should this have been handled in a different manner, absolutely.

its a used car, it is what it is.
i bought a car from a guy in Washington. ran great when i got it. but after 20-30miles of driving the oil pick up tube broke, and lost oil pressure. so that being said, should i have demanded my money back, saying i was sold a lemon and the guy was a scumbag? no. never. if the tranny didnt give up, this wouldnt be an issue… which again leads back to Codeblues, acceptance of a car with a “slipping tranny”
so lesson learned here:
inspect your potential purchases more closely, paying attention to every detail that catches your eye. if something doesnt seem right, make a point of it BEFORE agreeing on something.

It is BEYOND well deserved and everyone on this forum KNOWS it. Travis comes into that thread acting as if hes the most righteous person in the whole fucking world. He’s a model citizen of what NOT to be. He has absolutely NO ROOM to say a SINGLE negative thing about ANYONE.
