if you ever want to know if someone has take offs, look at the wear marks and if they are not consistently being used to the wear pattern, the worn part of the tire turns purple.
until you can wear down the sides of a 12r you aint shit:zong:

The shinko part was a joke. I NEED FEEDBACK ON THE POWER ONE!!!
How about the angel?
^never heard of them… seems all the companies are starting to offer dual compound tires though.
somebody test em out!
Last season i rode corsa III’s, and qualifiers. I dont know why, but i like the qualifiers better lol. They feel more stable to me.
^have you run pilot powers yet?
I havn’t. I went from the factory BT014’s (which i hated), to corsas (x3 sets), to Corsa III’s, then i got a great deal on the qualifiers and tried them out. By far my favorite so far.
I’ve ridden with some guys that ran 2CT’s and they all said they liked them until they got to a serious lean angle, and then they said it felt like the rear was loose.
You like PP’s?
LOVE THEM…
ive run trackdays on them with significant lean angles… never had an issue…
according to michelin…
"- 51.2º lean angle in the dry and 43º in the wet: a new benchmark for a hypersport tire** "
i dont know to many people achieiving those angles on the street
Have you run Qualifiers? If so, how much do you feel they differ for street riding? Although not a huge difference, but the PP’s are a bit more expensive.
Also, I have heard that some people run 190’s on 600’s. What is your take on that? I understand it increases the height-width ratio over a 180 (on a 600). Do you think that makes the bike turn easier?
I dont know if you have ridden a 2006+ GSXR600 or not, but to me (and many others i have talked to) the bike almost seems too stable upright, and almost doesn’t want to fall into a turn. Obviously, I can over come it. But compared to say… my buddies 675 that i have ridden, you really need to use more effort to get it to lean hard. Hence the 190 question.
Use what the bike is designed for the 180. I used a 190 two years ago and I thought i liked it until i switched to a 180 and the bike went into turns really well, felt like a totally different bike.
Will got me into the PilotPower’s then I tried the 2cts which I also love next i’ll try the new power pure hybrid.
yes… buy what the bike was meant to have on it… motorcycle designers and engineers know what they’re doing.
Yes, ive ridden them… sounds like you need to try a new set of tires… (correct size) and ride it again, i bet it will feel like a brand new bike to you… No movements on a bike should be rushed or forced… smooth = fast… it really sounds like your tires are overly worn, and you probably havent noticed it because it was gradual.
Also, i think i might give the Pures a shot on my next bike or maybe this next set if i replace the pilot powers that i currently have.
Power One!!! I am excited Sportbiketrackgear.com has set deals that save you around 40-60 on any set you buy. On my GSXR I have always ran the Pilot Powers. I might just stay with them. IDK.
