I am using the OEM sv wheels so I am running 120/160’s so choices are rather limited. I like, many others, run Diablo Supercorsa SC DOT’s, but personally I am running SC1 compound front and back.
If you are running GSXR wheels using 120/180’s “track” tires then you have a lot more choices in terms of brand. Pricingwise it is very hard to beat those Dunlop racing specials, BUT you will have to run odd profiles in the rear like 190/55 or 190/60. Otherwise all other brands basically will have either a specific track tire or what they called “trackday” tires like, Power Super Sport, Diablo Dragon Supercorsa SC, BT-003RS in those sizes.
Just a note for trackday tires, in addition to finding a good balance on cost/grip/life, if you don’t run rains, you also need to consider something that is still ok for wets. Just for an example, if I try to run my DSC SC on a wet track, I will 100% crash cause it is really not designed to be run on a wet course. That’s why you see those “trackday” tires usually have a more “street” like sipes but softer compound than street tires.
I will do what I can to help with set-up, just let me know.
