no i really didnt know where he was. I just remember the sick sol w. the front bumper exhaust spanking every car at “the lot” as some call it back in the day. This car reminds me of his, just the attention to detail and everything all together. I was going to buy his mint shell, but i believe brooks? got to it before me.
Yea, im not sure what happend to it after brooks. But jesse’s attention to detail got him pretty far, he ended up working for peakboost and now his own fab company.

Adam has the car now and is putting in the roll bar, hes also gonna try to trouble shoot the starting/running issues so when I get home on spring break I can finish it up and get this thing on the road.
Cage is ~80% done, ran out of argon tonight. Lexan rear window is cut, fit, and installed. Gives you about 95% of original window travel Mike. Hope that’s enough. I’ll get to checking the electrical mess sometime Thurs with any luck.
Rant: S+W cages suck as do any prebuilt cage. Stuck with their angles, cuts, fish mouths, etc…but worse when they screw up the bending of the main hoop and off-index the bends by ~15 degrees and throw one side of the cage off by ~3/4". Nothing like trying to fix someone elses f**kup. I’m used to it here by now.
This one will suffice for what Mike is doing though.
Mike…buy some 1.75" thin wall nerf, or OMP “cage sock” You’re gonna want it on the doorbars

It will be out almost every day during the summer. Hopefully it will see a track every weekend.

I assume it won’t be much of an AutoX car, but it should do fine on real tracks.
actually its geared more towards Autocross right now with the GT28rs in it. However it will never be competitive in its class. I made the setup so I could easily upgrade to a GT2871 with no mods at all so I may do that as I get more track time at limerock or the glen, or wherever I get to.

Couple shots of the cage in progress, still have to finish the seams on most of the welds but my tank mix wasn’t ready today for delivery so any welding aside from tacking was out of the question. Would have had it finished otherwise. Should suit Mikes application in the end until he decides he needs a halo and some extra support…
