That bay is spectacular. :wow
Years and years later all the hard work and knowledge is paying off. When this is complete, I will not be able to name one other Delsol that would have a more quality build than this.
Still not a CRX :tong

Updates?
Ive been in Washington and now PA. When I get home at the end of the week I should have plenty more pictures and some video.
Nice, this thread wants me to get going on my car.
Got a bunch of small things done today. Finished the oil return from the turbo, tensioned the belts, finished off all the vacuum lines. A few more small things then itll be all set for the cage and a tune. Ill post some pictures tomorrow of my oily fun.
Ill start off with some old pictures of the manifold and downpipe:
They look pretty good, fit was mediocre and I was disappointed in the lack of fasteners. Regardless, got it installed but no pictures.
The car was started after some timing belt trouble. I left the car as it was for my christmas vacation and had to take a few steps to prepare to work on it again:
first thing i needed was some kerosene:
for this thing:
now that I had some flames nearby I had to clean up the oil spill I created last time:
After a long time of trying to pump oil through all of my lines when I finally started the car I had forgotten that i had left the oil drain unplugged with a pan below it so I could see if anything was actually coming through. Pan was misplaced, car was run too long, oil was all over.
solution:
I attempted to start the car again but soon found that the timing is off again. Must have been off by a tiny bit to begin with and slowly unwound itself to were it wont start anymore. So tomorrow I have too pull off the damn power steering belt, alternator belt, timing belt cover, dipstick tube… the whole 9. and try to set it again.
:headbang
im not a honda guy but i have alot of respect for a nice clean car . it looks awsome !
thanks.
Current picture of the engine bay with everything hooked up. I can probably organize vac. hoses a little better once I get it running. Right now my concern is to get it running and to get the oil to stop leaking for all of the AN fittings WTF. thats what I bought them for.
lots of teflon tape LOL
engine looks great man!
Looks sick. Where did you get your AN stuff?
got them from summit and off some random people. lol
No teflon tape on AN fittings :nono
But i may use the silicone on them.
yeah i know about those fittings. i’d probably use some rtv, and call it a day.
looks like a sweet set up @ least i wont be the only one running a sohc this summer. we should run sometime…
Mike,
Morgan trailered your car for FREE, built you a manifold and downpipe that fit great, again trailered your car back to your house for FREE, gave you time to sell your old stuff before you paid us in full, and you complain about lack of fasteners(manifolds and downpipes dont come with fasteners). You seriously have got to be kidding.
Morgan went out of his way to help you out, gave you a fair price, and went above and beyond what was expected. I hope in the future you learn to appreciate the value of customer service.
My complaints were two small notes. I do not hold it against you guys nor did I detail all of my problems here.
I did greatly appreciate having my car trailered to the shop but look… Morgan offered. Saying that a “free” trailer ride offsets issues I had with the product is NOT OK in my book. Same goes for allowing me to one payment on it. I wouldn’t have given up hardware and better fit for either of those.
That manifold and downpipe cost me $918, that was my bill. My two criticisms are justified by my cost.
man i need a tig welder, then i can make big $$$
better fit? im sorry im not sure what fitment issues you were having, it cleared everything you needed it to clear.
Mike, if you want PM or IM me ill tell you the problems I am having with it, but having me detail it online here probably isnt the best idea. I was vague in the first place intentionally.
