Ooooooo I took a beating lastnight…I preety much need a bumper and tailight, and my buddies I need a door and a fender…my car fish tailed and smoked my buddies protege…he was okay with it and laughed…soo I’ll go take a picture of the damage right now…I am not selling the car anymore because Of this:(
Here you guys go, sorry about the poor quality the was too much light…I couldn’t even see.
I made friends with the snow with mine in a private parking lot last night.
Sliding sideways in 3rd and I don’t even think I had to cross 2,000 RPM. Good times.
Dude that really stinks…gotta be careful when other cars are around though…sucks. Make sure you take good care of your friends car because he handled everything so well!
All the best in getting her fixed, you should make a new thread for the photos.
no i was screwed…I needed to drive my buddie home…I didn’t even want to drive my car…I dont have wintertires…my allseasons barely pass certification…I didn’t have a weightsack in the back…I knew something was going to happen…I did 20km/h the whole way home…
Yeah mike’s car proves what a difference snow tires can make. His 240SX got up that hill without any real trouble where as even my snow tires were having trouble in that thick powder.
I have Pilot Alpine PA2s, which are amazing southern Ontario winter tires in that they are great on ice, slush and packed snow and are absolutely amazing on dry pavement (which is what we see 99% of the winter in Ontario). They aren’t so great in deep snow, but are still a lot better than any all-season would be!
It’s pretty rare though to be driving through 25cm deep snow up a very steep hill in the GTA
You can see there isn’t much space between the tread blocks, but all those tiny grooves makes the tire VERY good on ice and the large channels are great for slush. This tire is also quietest winter tire at highway speed, it’s also speed rated to H or V depending which one you get (that’s 210 and 240km/h)
You can see the irregular pattern and large spaces between treadblocks making the tire GREAT in deep snow and probably slush. The more solid tread though means it’s probably not that great on bare ice and I bet it’s NOISY as hell on the highway…
this weather is awesome, likely some of the best non-sexual times in a car occur in when the roads are this bad…
i dont wanna go into details and promote that type of behaviour but afaic the speed limits dont apply in this weather… i must have pissed up a couple dozen people today… too bad there was too much snow on my car to identify it by the plate or driver.
I hate this weather for driving, I have to drive around everyone cause they are going so damn slow… if you are afraid to drive in this shit either don’t or move over!
they assume no one can drive faster than they can so they don’t even look in the mirror, having to honk irritates me
lol, i cant wait till spring, ill fight u for those parts hehe. Last time i checked junk yards, every single s13 that was there was raped while the s14s had their bodies burried in a ditch.
