can I ask what the buy back price was? I always wondered how they figure it out

Without getting into detail I will say that Geico screwed me throughout the entire process. The buy back was $2k which was 20% of the claim check. Ridiculous.
$2k seems high… How much in parts did you get back from that? when my Mustang was stolen years and years ago, I think I got 6K back and paid $500 for the car back.
Well I mean tons of interior bits plus a full drive train is a decent consolation.
If memory serves me, you had a filthy exhaust on the car… assuming it was thrashed in the accident?

$2k is definitely too high but still worth it. I got the motor/tranny/lsd, exhaust, cat, all the grey interior parts needed to replace the red, speedometer, tach, plus all of my aftermarket parts (boost gauge, motor mount, gearbox bushings, short shifter, shift boot eliminator, slotted rotors, EBC redstuff pads, cell phone holder).
The exhaust miraculously survived. It doesn’t really matter though because @BREETIME is building a new one like we were planning before the accident.
Yeah the stripes are vinyl and usually pull off pretty easy.

RMW tune was incredible. Flattened out my torque curve, way more driveable.
