It’s the Ford Motor Company platform designation for late 80s to mid 90s Thunderbirds, Cougars, and Lincoln MKVIIIs (kind of like SN95 for my style Mustang, ect).

I wanted an XR-7 back in the day ("83 or so style (turbo 4cyl). They were sharp cars back then. I always liked that style Turbo Coupe, too.
