my rental Grand am GT in florida had a monsoon in it and i liked it alot. Kanut/bravada 442 you may know this, would a monsoon unit be a direct plug in for an 87 blazer? Is there an external amp on those units? And would it be best to get the whole componet set, head unit and speakers?
monsoon needs a 7 to 9 pin adapter and small antenea to large to work.(in a Grand National)
- some custom fabrication to the radio brackets and maybe chasis.
I agree with dick. The 87 Blazer is going to eb the same way… I have an 87 right now that is a 7 pin, so you’ll need the adapter, plus youll have to make sure to run the proper wiring for a Monsoon system.
I beleive they have an external amplifier, mounted in the truck, with Monsoon systems as well… I’m not real familar with them, though.
VW’s have monsoons as well, i like mine… amp in the trunk and all!
wont work, radio with fit, would have to reg amp & speckers in!
depends on head unit.i have a 2000 z28 monsoon system in the buick running off the head unit power
it will work ,but the amp & speakers wont
