It’s quite clear IMO why he jumped the boat (or couch as the case may be). Montoya isnt winning races, he’s the #2 driver, and he’s struggling in F1. He also was NOT resigned for next year with ANY F1 teams, not even as a test driver. Now we can assume that it’s just late in the season and something was going to come up, but I can see why he did this.
