The concept that you are failing to understand is that half of what they report on is acknowledged as a rumor, not passing it along as fact. This goes back to my original concept of ‘Don’t Fucking Read It If You Don’t Like It’.
It just blows my mind that you feel the need to read it like Morongalor stated in his ‘car crash’ analogy. The moment that you see the link is from the Inquirer your brain should trigger the following response…

Show proof that it will be backwards compatable before calling me a tard… Dumbass… The only info I could find was that it will either be:
a. compatable with top selling games ONLY (READ: NOT TRULY BACKWARDS COMPATABLE)
OR
b. games will need to be recompiled for the xbox360 (READ: BUYING YOUR OLDER GAMES… AGAIN (READ: NOT TRULY BACKWARDS COMPATABLE))
Also, I am willing to bet my first born that the PS3 will be backwards compatable with PS2 AND PS1 games…

sega did not kill themselves (totally)… sony spread a lot of rumors around that helped kill them and the dreamcast. which for its time was the way beyond anything else. it had a NIC and ran CE, and will run nix.
Technologically I agree…current Xbox > PS2. But I had both and I couldn’t find many good games for Xbox so I sold it.
