On the next two charts whp, wheel torque, and boost are shown for all runs so it gets a little more confusing to look at, but it’s nice to see what’s going on.
If anyone is wondering whether a custom tune is worth it or not, I think these charts are pretty telling.
McGass I haven’t dynod a stock WRX that I’ve tuned yet since it’s only been a week, but the difference from a tune is very noticeable. I just can’t quantify it officially yet.
Steve I’m glad you like it. Thanks for coming down.
EESTI I’m going to post everyone’s car compared to yours until you put a downpipe on that car. JK The tank weighs over 4000 lbs so it’s not the fastest car out, but it’s insanely smooth under all conditions so I’m very happy with how it came out. Megasquirt has come a long way.
Could be a combination of old plugs and the stock tunes run like crap under about 4200 RPM when in boost. In short they tried to make the fuel economy a touch better by making the car run terribly.
We’ll have to see what’s going on with this one. I’m guessing we have a boost leak to hunt down. The power oscillation that goes with the boost changes aren’t noticeable on the street, but you can see here that something is up.
And this was funny. I tried to finish tuning a Supra we built on race gas. The 335 wide tires were having nothing of it. It spun so hard we got this readout:
