heres my instructions on how to block almost all ads in firefox

  1. Install the ChromEdit extension ( https://addons.update.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?application=firefox&version=1.0&os=Windows&id=17 )

  2. Go to the tools menu and click “Edit User Files”

  3. Go to the “userContent.css” tab

  4. Go to this link and copy the code.
    http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/adblock

  5. Paste it in your userContent.css file and click save

  6. Restart your browser

  7. Enjoy ad-free surfing!

In case you’re wondering how this works, it just blocks elements in the page that are the same as those specified in your userContent.css, so it doesnt even load the image/iframe/whatever (unlike Adblock).

i like it better than IE… i get NO popups with firefox, and Tabs > *

i wouldnt think because the add would still be on the page, the browser would just filter out the image id imagine…

Im not installing it, i just found it over on OT and figured someone may want it here

I like firefox for normal browsing and i still have to use IE for certain things at work. I tried Maxthon for a few minutes and didn’t like it :dunno: , I keep hearing how good it is.

I don’t mind firefox, but i prefer Avant Browser… its “tabbed” - only at the bottom instaed of the top, has a great pop-up blocker and some other great features… and best of all… its great for those who have dial-up… b/c its essentially just an upgrade to IE, so its really small, not several megs like Firefox

I wasnt impressed with it at all… Im still running opera… I have to run IE at work because we cant install shit… IE still has alot of things that other browsers (aside from netscape) wont have. Im forced to use it for my bank.

I heard MyIE isnt that bad either.
