took the words right out of my mouth… Its still the word fastest production truck :wtf:
Just saying.
1930 Cadillac V16 influences designers to this day so:tup: to that…
I love the 55 Belair, 69 Camaro, 64 GTO and the 53 Vette because of the recognition they give GM and the design/powerplant/engineering influences as well
No Corvair, that’s a significant automobile.
To avoid going totally off topic in this thread I’ll just suggest you go search for the Volt thread and do some reading.
the list is about cars that have “proven” something at some point.
The volt hasn’t proven anything at all as yet.
55 Chevy was the first GM production car to have a V8. But in 1957, it was the first year for fuel injection and 283 cubic inch and 283 HP. One HP per cubic inch.
69 Camaro (and 67 and 68) were Chevy getting into the muscle cars hardcore and racing.
64 GTO was taking a full size car, throwing in a performance V8 and battling with the other manufacturers in a HP war.
53 Vette started the 2 seater sports car craze in the US. And since then, Tupperware has been around for 55 years ![]()
I typed that, it wasn’t in the article. Here is the quote from another source:
“The S-series was sold from the fall of 1990 through the end of the 2002 model year”
The first one left the factory on July 30th 1990 as a 1991 model.
Also it should be noted that the Viper ACR can beat any of these around the 'Ring.
