Motocrossx23's WINTER Ninja Project Thread

Well it’s winter and I’ve been getting the itch (herpes is a hell of an STD) so I thought I’d begin the winter projects for the bike.

As of now my plans are:

-Pazzo Levers (brake and clutch, shorty)
-HID Retro-Fit Bi-Xeon housings
-Powdercoat wheels
-New bearings all around
-CCT adjustment
-Valve adjustment
-LED swap for the cluster
-Coolant flush/Oil Change (most likely not till spring)
-Heated Hand Grips (depending on $ situation after everything else)

I’ll keep updating this as I go along, with pictures of progress as well.

Right now, I need a number for powdercoating, preferably local and quality finishing, Clarence Metal Finishing on Wehrle doesn’t have a number posted so if anyone knows it that would be awesome, thanks!

c and s custom powder coating. 7250 goodrich rd clarence center . guys name is chuck palmer. he does great work, but you will have to bring him just the wheels. he doesnt disassemble them. 7418124 or 5368243

ask bueme where he got his powdercoated for his evo

I still stand by Hot Shots, he did great work, it just took a while. Didn’t matter though because it was over winter.

at first from reading the home page i thought you bought a new zx10, gl with project!

:needpic:

Chill chiefy! They’ll come in due time lol

Click and Roll Levers (Decided against buying Pazzo, not worth the money IMO):

Now I just need to wait for the temperature to go up a bit, 14 degrees in an unheated garage is untolerable for me, plus I’m not risking breaking any tabs/whatnot.

ASV makes nice levers

OT but is that your bike in your avatar?

Yeah but for $125 a side it’s not worth it in my opinion, I’d just buy Pazzo for another $50.

The ones I bought were $89.99 a side

have fun wiring those projectors!

Good luck, if ya need a hand let me know. Does your bike already have an air filter and power commander?

I already told him you would help us, Jason

nice mods for your to do list, after you have projector hid’s and levers its a lot more comfortable ride because you can see so much further and your not grabbing those bulky oem pos levers. one more suggestion thou, …rear sets make a world of difference in the comfort of the ride as well just an fyi

No PC or race filter, I’m just gonna buy a drop in K&N filter though

Haha, we already have a man in mind =p what kinda beer you want? Lol

I’m thinking bout rearsets but not till summer, this list is already costing me a ton lol

Before and after pics of bike yo!

Oh there will definitely be pics, most likely the wheels after the powdercoat.

Oh and I’m an idiot, pazzos are 180 shipped for a PAIR, I’ll be getting those lol

haha. that wiring was ridiculous, hopefully i can remember what we did with tim’s…

(labbat blue  )

Are the Pazzo Levers unbreakable??
