Motorcycle Oil Choice

What is your choice of oil and weight for your summer toys?

AMSOIL, can’t remember the weight I used.

Repsol or Amsoil.

I know I ran 4T full synthetic in my SV, can’t remember what I used for the 919 off hand.

mobil-1 10w40

Amsoil 20W-50 in the Esprit. In the MR2, 10W-30. In the Type R 10W-40.

Mobil 1 4T

300Z-Royal Purple 20W / 50. OEM Filter.

Think this should be moved to gen auto since half the people have said their oil in their cars not bikes lol?

I used whatever the manufactured suggested for my ninja in Mobil1. used bikemaster filter

And i haven’t decided what to use yet in my S2000, but 10w30. use oem filter

Rotella 5w40 with a supertech filter.

BradPenn

I switched from mobil 1 4t to rotella t6 this year, it shifts alot better and is way cheaper.

I always used Mobil 1 Racing 4T 10W40 and an OEM filter, from 600 mile service until I got rid of it at around 18,000 miles.

Rotella? is turning into fram. They changed there formula.

Amen

What would be the benefits of a 5w40 or a 10w40 here in Buffalo?

Whatever you use, make sure you use an oil designed to be used in a motorcycle engine. The formula that is used is designed for wet clutch systems with the proper friction modifiers.

^ Yes, lol.

The green shit - MOTUL!!!

Same here, going on 10 years of rotella t with supertech filters, zero problems.

Fuck paying for that royal purple, repsol, amsoil, or even mobil 1.
