cant wait for the trails to be dry, or semi dry anyway. i’ve gotten out on my bike a couple times this year so far
Take me! lol
I usually make a few trips to holiday to ride in the summer, usually though i just hit up a few not-so-interestin local trails, or the bike path at the river to keep in shape
I will be going this weekend with my girl, but I usually go to sprague brook and hunters creek park. Looking to expand to Ellicottville this year, but I need to go with someone who is familiar with trails. I am also looking to take a trip to Ohio in June to hit up Rays indoor park. I may need to gather a few friends for that one as well.
the time for rays is now…or any time in the winter. They close may 1st
damn I didn’t know that. I guess i will have to make my trip sooner than later…
Anybody up for a ride today at sprague?
I’m gonna miss riding this year. If anyone is interesed I’m selling a cannondale F5 $550
Frame size?
I went for a ride and about halfway through my loop. my derailer decided to snap in half. I will post pictures of carnage later. Let me tell you guys, a 2 hour walk with a bike 1 hour into your ride gets extremely is brutal. I finally found a shortcut to my car after I climbed down a big ass cliff. I am pissed though. I haven’t even used this bike for a whole season and you would think that it has seen seasons of abuse.
What kind of derailleur was it? Sounds like you need to carry tools with you when riding. Broken derailleurs happen, should have just removed it, shortened the chain and single speed it out. Also were you at Sprague Brook? If so, how could you have been 1 hour into the ride and still a 2 hour walk back to your car? The loop at SB only takes about an hour to ride.
So, is this the official MB thread?
Living in Tonawanda pretty much sucks for anything off road. My daily commute has an elevation change of ~60’
(at this point, I’m OK with that as i’m a fat slob)
