mouse is brand new last Friday its opitcal, and this is on my work dell laptop
could be the desk. try a mouse pad?

Yeah I get this once in a while, seems to be the optics reading my desks texture and moving the mouse slightly
not wireless and its on a mouse pad
not necessarily wireless, but is it an optical mouse? as in no ball?
weird, try taking it off the pad. try a peice of paper, plain old desk…etc

Seeing as it’s a laptop does the mouse move when the external one is unplugged.
fucking pos dell mouse pad, seems to be fine using just the laptop mouse
