Move over McLaren F1 here comes the Veyron.

If you can get one…

2nd coolest VW evar!

(Right behind 2001 Jetta VR6 :pimp: )

Has anybody driven DSG? Upshifts are great, downshifts take fooooooooooooooooooooor-------eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh------veeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Oh well, when you have this much power you don’t have to worry about that.

125 in 7.3 seconds?11??!!
quarter mile on this thing has to be insane

Beyond this is the so-called top-speed setting dialed up by Schreiber during our run and allowing the new Bugatti to run all the way to 250 mph. Besides twisting the second key, you are also required to run through a safety list, which includes such things as a tire-pressure check. Overall, the Veyron’s drag co-efficient varies dramatically—from a low of 0.39 in the standard setting to a downforce-induced 0.42 in handling, and a slipperier 0.36 in top speed.

“Hi VW? I’m trying to impress my girlfriend by going 250 in my car but uh…I kind of lost my second key. Can you give me a replacement?”

is DSG the same crap they have in aston martins?

The key is made out of aluminum to save weight.

DSG is very different from what is on Aston Martins

Yeah, Aston Martins have trouble downshifting, not upshifting.

that’s about what the keys cost…250.

it depends on the aston. the vantage uses a 6-sp. magnetti marelli robotic system on a tremec manual transmission, (same system ferrari uses) whereas the DB9 uses a traditional torque-converter automatic with a manual override (similar to Tiptronic or Autostick).

Definately an amazing car. I read the article when I got my autoweek last week with it on the cover. They are producing 50 of them a year at 1.2 mil USD. If you had the money you could order one today as only 16 of the initial 50 for 06 were paid in full as of press time of the autoweek feature.

A ton of money yes, but a godly car if you’re filthy rich.

i’ll take one of those

two McLaren F1’s, 2 Enzo’s and a Koinegsegg (sp) thank you very much…

:pimp:

and that was def. me…because jltalon never once has managed to remember to sign off of any of the computers at school…goddamnfuckinshitassbitch

how many posts did you have to make before you realized it wasn’t you?

If your not logging in, your a culprit as well…

insane car… thats all i can say about it

i dont see how they could have possiblt spent 300 million to design a car that has stability issues and overheating issues and expect to sell it for 1.2 million

the callaway sledgehammer did fine at 254 mph … their biggest aerodynamic problem was that the fender vents behind the tires wouldnt draw air at speed, which was quickly fixed with duct tape at the track

When the car weighs over 4000 lbs, something tells me “light weight” was not a consideration for any of the design. I wonder how fast it would be if it didn’t weigh as much as a Lincoln.

I also would like to see lap times from Nuburgring.

Mclaren’s claim to fame was 0-100-0…

no, the 1967 shelby corba 427 s/c’s claim to fame was the 0-100-0 … everyone else just started humping on that benchmark

and i dont think it would be that much faster if it was lighter, as any rear reduction in weight would reguire the removal of the awd system, and that car needs the awd to put down impressive times, otherwise your just gonna burn the tires off it

thats why the hehhesey viper doesnt do any better with the same HP

i think you misunderstood.
